Preschool Beginner (Ages 3-5)
This 60 minute class is designed for preschool-aged children who are ready to participate independently in a structured group setting. No prior gymnastics experience is required.
Each class begins with a group warm-up and stretch, followed by rotations through age-appropriate stations in the main gym. Athletes are introduced to fundamental gymnastics skills through repetition, encouragement, and positive coaching. As the session progresses, stations are adjusted to match each child’s development while continuing to reinforce strong basics.
Preschool gymnasts learn how to listen, follow directions, take turns, and build confidence as they practice skills multiple times with coach guidance. Some skills may involve hands-on spotting, while others are performed independently under a coach’s supervision.

Skills introduced include:
Vault: Two-foot takeoffs on the springboard, straight, tuck, and straddle jumps, controlled landings
Bars: Front support, swings, casts, chin holds, monkey flips, introductory pull-overs
Beam: Forward and backward walking, jumps, kicks, balance progressions
Floor: Forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, basic shapes
Trampoline: Seat drops, controlled jumps and freezes, straight, tuck, and straddle jumps, half turns
Beyond the skills themselves, preschool gymnastics builds balance, strength, flexibility, coordination, body awareness, focus, and early social skills. These foundational movement patterns support success in future sports and promote lifelong healthy habits.
